Swami Ramanuja had appointed 74 Acharyas in order to spread Vishistadvaida all over the country.

 

He also gave advice to his disciples to follow six commands:

 

 

They are:

1. Learn Sri Bhashyam and also teach them to others.

2. Learn divya Prabandam with meaning and teach them to others.

3. Build a cottage at Thirunarayanapuram and spend your life in perfect peace.

4. Learn dhwayam with meaning.

5. Feed the hungry and spend your time in service to the Lord at sacred places. Let His temple be swept, lit, and beautiful garlands be woven for his worship

6. Seek out some Srivaishnava who is endowed with wisdom and devotion, who holds you as something dear to his soul.

 

A true Srivaishnava is one who could follow at least any one of the above mentioned commands of Sri Ramanuja.
